Get ConnectED II

Our first Get ConnectED seminar was so popular we are already planning the next one. At the next Get ConnectED you will get information on how to integrate Adobe Connect, Google Drive, Smartboards, education apps, and other technologies into the classroom to support your lessons.

Make plans to join your peers at the ConnectED Professional Development Event, Friday, August 12, at East High School, 1500 E. Broad St., from 9 a.m. – Noon. This FREE event is sponsored by the CCS eLearning Committee and Professional Learning and Licensure. Register for this event in CiMS. Still not sure? PublicSchoolWORKS Online Training

In an effort to provide efficient, specialized, online training, Columbus City Schools contracts with PublicSchoolWORKS to offer all staff access to electronic professional development opportunities. PublicSchoolWORKS provides more than 400 online training programs, including courses needed to fulfill state and federal mandates. District supervisors and principals determine which courses their staff will be required to take. Required courses can be completed during the work day. Staff are welcome to complete elective courses on their own. Check with your supervisor to see what courses you should be taking, or click HERE to get started.

CCS User ID and Password
If you are a CCS Employee and do not have an active CCS Email account, please click on this link - CCS User ID/Email Registration. You must use a CCS district computer. You will be asked to sign the District's Acceptable Use Policy. In order for District employees to be allowed access to a school computer system, computer network, and the Internet, they must read and sign the consent form. If you have any question please contact the CCS Help desk at 365-8425.

Current CCS Employees - Verify Payroll Deductions for Benefits
All employees should verify that their benefit elections are correct on Employee Self Service. You should verify deductions coming out of your pay check by reviewing your pay statement. You can verify your benefit elections by clicking the word Benefits on the left hand side of the page in Employee Self Service as well as verify which dependents are on your plans by hovering your mouse over the word details next to your bi-weekly contribution rate. Office ProPlus Now FREE for CCS Staff

 Office 2013 is now offered as a free download for Home Use from Microsoft for all Columbus City School employees as a service called Office ProPlus. Office ProPlus is a free Home Use download of Office 2013 for your personal use. Office ProPlus can be downloaded on your home desktop PC or MAC.
